Palolem Beach in Goa

Palolem Beach in Goa
Situated in the southern part of Goa, the Palolem beach is the most famous and well known in the southern part of the state of Goa. It is nearest if you drove from the state of Karnataka, which flanks Goa from the south. The beach is just 3 kilometers from the Konkan railway station and can be reached from just about anywhere in Goa.

The Palolem beach is the most photogenic beach with its crescent shaped shoreline and white sand. The picturesque blue water lapping on the white sand of the shore, which is dotted by coconut trees here and there, makes it the perfect beach to relax and take it easy. Despite being frequently visited by tourists, the Palolem beach remains clean and looks untouched. A major attraction at the beach is the ferry service, which takes tourists on a ride into the ocean to spot Dolphins. Tourists discovered the Palolem beach long back. Today the beach has some seaside shacks that offer local seafood and snacks, small souvenirs and other stuff like beachwear, curios etc.

The Palolem beach offers accommodation for tourists in beautiful, exquisite beach huts, which have all modern amenities. The beach is usually crowded on weekends; so if you are looking forward to unwind and relax, head for the beach on weekdays. One can also hire a ferry or a boat and persuade the fishermen to take you to the small islands located on the northern part of the beach.
